Memories By Megs Photography
The Client: Memories by Megs Photography is a business run by a local solopreneur. She offers many different types of photography and wants to sell herself as her clients’ “Forever photographer”.
The Challenge: Megan was in the process of rebranding and wanted to update her website. My first challenge was to write her “About Me” page. I needed to ensure that this was written in her voice and sounded like she wrote it herself and to also write it in a way that new clients wanted to book a session with her after reading. My second task was to rewrite her sales page for her wedding photography packages to attract new clients and have a clear outline of what her packages include. The goal for this page is to have potential clients set up a consultation meeting with her.
The Solution: In order to write in Megan’s voice, I needed to get to know a little more about her. I sent her a questionnaire asking her some questions about her and her business so I could write her bio. I also extensively read through her current website content and her business Facebook page to dig a little deeper. To write her sales page, I researched other local photography pages to compare packages. She already had a very organized and easy-to-read page, so I kept her layout and just rewrote the copy to encourage new potential clients to book a consultation meeting with her to discuss her wedding packages.
After meeting with Megan, I sent her my rough draft for her to look over and give feedback. We then met to discuss how I could match her voice more clearly. I made the requested corrections, then finally sent her the final draft for her to input on her website.
